TCP Investments, LLC established in April 2005, is a registered investment company in the State of Wisconsin, Florida and Texas. Robert L. Johnson, Registered Investment Advisor Representative is the founder of TCP Investments. Mr. Johnson has over 20 years of investment experience using technical analysis of market trends.
We currently have two primary areas of investment interest:
1) IRA, Roth and non-IRA accounts utilizing ProFunds Mutual Fund Company (Profunds.com)
a) Aggressive Growth V08 group – leveraged sector and index mutual funds
b) Moderately Conservative AAU group – An equally weighted mix of 4 domestic stock indexes and 1 international index with no leveraged funds
2) 401k/403b accounts
We strongly believe that markets trend both up and down, and through technical analysis, long term and intermediate term trends can usually be identified, and an appropriate investment position taken. No one that we know can consistently and accurately predict which way the stock markets will go, but we do feel that major trends can be identified and give clues as to their direction. It does NOT mean we always get in at the bottom of a Bear market or get out at the top of a Bull market. Our methodology is structured to avoid missing a major trend once it has begun and take an appropriate position within that trend to profit from it.
The company uses leveraged index and sector mutual funds with an active investment philosophy in both Bull and Bear markets. IPO’s and Penny Stocks are not a part of our program. We will not hesitate to take a position of 100% money market or an inverse return fund if we believe the market has entered into a Bearish intermediate or long term period.
The TCP Strategy with our Aggressive Growth V08 group is a high-risk and volatile manner of investing, which uses short term trading, leveraged investment vehicles (utilizing futures, options on futures, swap agreements and other similar leveraged instruments) in addition to technical analysis of markets to achieve its results. The V08 Strategy has been successful in the past but past results do not guarantee future returns. The V08 Strategy is not suitable for an investor’s entire investment portfolio, but, rather, is a component of a diversified asset allocation. The V08 Strategy is not a short-term trading program. Benefits, if any, can best be realized by long term participation in the Strategy. Recognize that risks are inherent in investments options, and that some investment decisions will be profitable and some will be unprofitable. Our Moderately Conservative AAU group, while not using any leveraged investments, may also be volatile and reflect the risks inherent in domestic and international stocks. Losses can occur in either the V08 and AAU groups. Loss of principal should be considered a risk with our investment methodology. Acknowledge that TCP cannot guarantee that profits will be made, but will exercise its best judgment in managing Client investments.
